Argentina - Determination along the lines underneath the Bonnets.
¡Todo es oro y azul!
A sunset cloak on top of a humming city
Its trees relax their shoulders in an amber shade
Curiosity brings friends out to the rooftops with beers in hand
The crescent moon joining in above with its frosty smile
Birds scurry home, weaving in and out of our concrete maze
Argentinian flags tatter in the January breeze, still smelling nostalgically of the Copa del Mundo
Here in the Plaza del Mayo, we wonder what the faces of the mothers looked like circling the stone statue forty years ago, defiantly demanding a simple ask
Where are our children?
There's no need for imagination, as the wrinkled, determined white bonneted faces still circle the goddess, pushed around in wheel chairs by those ready to help hoist the torch of human rights
I find myself treading Ernesto Guevara's path, a story so magnificent, we can't compare
As the sun sets, I remember Kairos
We asked ourselves difficult questions
Let us continue
In this moment, however, breathe in deeply and fill your lungs.
